Honest answer — Oia's sunset deserves its reputation. It's the most photographed for a reason, and it is beautiful. But it's also the most crowded moment anywhere on Santorini, every single night. If you want a good viewpoint you need to be in position around two hours before sunset, and you'll be standing among a very large crowd. Some people love that atmosphere. Many find it exhausting.
